Bowmore releases limited edition, 1982

Published:  06 May, 2011

Bowmore, has released the second in its vintage series, the limited edition, Bowmore 1982.

Available from the end of June,  501 bottles will be released aimed at whisky collectors and enthusiasts.

Following on from the Bowmore 1981 release in 2010, the 1982 whisky has matured in hand-selected fine oak casks below sea level in Scotland's oldest maturation warehouse.

Presented in a wooden gift box with a 'weather-beaten' brown leather strap and copper buckle, each bottle is also accompanied by a hand-signed, numbered certificate signed by the distillery manager, Eddie MacAffer.

MacAffer said: "I've watched over this fine vintage from the day it was laid to rest 29 years ago through its long maturation in the unique cold, damp atmosphere and salty air in the No 1 Vaults. The Bowmore 1982 is a challenging and rewarding dram, ideal for a man who appreciates the outdoors and the challenges it brings."
