PLB appointed UK agent for Bodegas Navajas
Importer PLB has been appointed UK agent for Rioja winery Bodegas Navajas.
The family run agency which is located in the town of Navarrete in the heart of La Rioja will be a key strategic focus for PLB's growing wholesale division.
The range consists of a Rioja Joven and a Rioja Crianza including white and rosé styles, as well as a Rioja Reserva and Gran Reserva.
PLB's buying director Europe, Nick Tatham MW, said: "Spain is performing extremely well in the UK and we see this appointment as a great opportunity. The Bodegas Navajas wines are complementary to our portfolio, giving us a very strong Spanish proposition to offer customers."
The importer's Spanish portfolio represents wineries from key wine regions across La Rioja, Rueda, Ribera del Duero, Valdepeñas, Navarra and Castilla y León, as well as Valencia, Alicante, DO Cariñena, Toro, Albariño, Rías Baixas, Cava and Sherry.
It will take effect from March 1.
