Aussie wine brand Andrew Peace Wines has announced a six-figure advertising deal with the World Cricket and World Rugby League agencies.
The agreement will see Andrew Peace advertised during fifteen new season Super League and Championship matches, which kick off in February and will be shown live on Sky Sports.
Perimeter board ads will also feature during 15 fifteen televised high profile cricket matches, including England against India in the one day international at the Rosebowl and the Twenty20 international versus Sri Lanka at Bristol.
The rugby will also be backed with advertising on rugbyleague.com throughout 2011.
Distributor Bottle Green hopes the above-the-line support will help Andrew Peace achieve top five Australian brand status in the UK off-trade. It is currently the ninth biggest Australian brand in the UK off-trade by volume, according to Nielsen figures for September 2010.
Andrew Peace said: "I know there's an amusing irony about us being associated with English cricket, but I'm really excited about the development of our brand in the UK. There's much more to do and this type of national above-the-line activity really helps the profile of the wines and drives increasing consumer awareness, which is what we're all about."
