Look forward in Angers
The Salon des Vins de Loire has attracted more than 500 exhibitors for next February's three-day show in Angers. Held on 5, 6 and 7 February next year, this will be the 15th Loire Exhibition, and for the third year running it is increasing its focus on the international trade. Since 1998, the exhibition has invited a guest-of-honour and a new partner guest country (Japan in the first year, Great Britain and Poland respectively in 1999, and the Netherlands and Sweden this year). Guest-of-honour country next February will be Germany, while Italy is selected as the new partner guest country. Sixty different appellation d'origine wines, representing all the major production centres from Nantes to Saint Pourain, will be on show at the Angers Parc Expo, and more than 9,000 French and international buyers and press are expected to attend.
