Published:  09 August, 2010

Newly established wholesale wine agency and importer, Carte Blanche Wines, is to launch its portfolio with an inaugural trade tasting in September.

It will take place at Kettner's Restaurant & Champagne Bar, London on September 16.

Owners Ben Llewelyn and Rupert Nicholson, said the company aim is to source its wines from small to medium-sized artisan growers from across the world with a focus on biodynamic and organic gems.

"As a specialist independent wine importer that focuses on wines created by artisan winemakers, Carte Blanche was established to provide wines of quality, integrity and diversity that will give its customers a point of difference in today's competitive market," said Llewelyn.

Llewelyn previously worked at New Generation Wines as sales and marketing director and before that was director of business development at Enotria. Rupert Nicholson has spent much of his life working in wineries across the globe including New Zealand, South Africa, Germany, Burgundy and Cornwall. Both men are studying for their MW qualification.
