Appleton launches bartender competition

Appleton Estate rum has launched a new bartender competition to find the top cocktail makers from 10 of its key markets.
The winner of each national Appleton Estate Bartender Challenge will travel to the brand's home of Jamaica in October to represent their country at a showcase event.
They will visit the producer, attend a private blending session with master blender Joy Spence and spend three night's relaxing on Jamaica's north coast.
The UK is one of the markets chosen, along with Jamaica, Australia, Canada, Cayman, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, Spain and the US.
The new, international scheme is an extension of a UK challenge which has run for the past two years and took three British bartenders to Jamaica.
