Pernod Ricard has announced the appointment of three spirit and wine/Champagne Channel directors to its UK arm.
Former business unit controller, Nick Yates has been named Channel director, on-trade spirits having 11 years previous commercial experience at Pernod Ricard UK. He will report directly to the company's newly appointed commercial director for spirits, Simon van Moppes.
Chris Ellis maintains his position as Channel director, off-trade spirits, but his responsibility will be increased for the wholesale cash and carry channel.
Van Moppes said: "Yates brings extensive on-trade expertise to this role, as well as a strong track record for developing effective brand activation and trading strategies."
He added: "Ellis' strong off-trade strategic expertise positions him perfectly to support the wholesale cash and carry channel, while continuing to introduce fresh ideas that ensure that the company's extensive premium spirits portfolio continues to benefit and add value to all off-trade sectors.
The third appointment is taken by Lee James who has been appointed to the role of Channel director - wines.
James will be responsible for the company's wine and Champagne sales activities across the convenience, specialist, wholesale cash and carry and on-trade sectors.
