First Quench Retailing's commercial director, Lloyd Stephens, has made a surprise exit from the off-licence operator.
His position has been taken by Mike Osmond, who joins the company from Somerfield where he spent 16 years in various senior commercial and category roles, most recently as board director responsible for buying.
FQR said Stephens had "decided to leave the business to explore other opportunities".
Stephens joined the company from Gallo in January 2007 as trading director and was later promoted to commercial director.
Acting chief executive Martin Healy said: "I would like to thank Lloyd for his valuable contribution to the business over the last couple of years, and I wish him the very best for the future.
"I am delighted that Mike is joining First Quench and I and the team are very much looking forward to working with him as we begin to put in place the building blocks for future growth."
