Laithwaites bids for bigger audience with PR push

Online wine seller Laithwaites is to undergo a PR push to promote the brand to a wider audience.

Online wine seller Laithwaites is to undergo a PR push to promote the brand to a wider audience.

It has hired Nexus to handle its promotional activity in the run up to the brand's 40th birthday next year. It is believed the brand will focus particularly on advertising the brand to couples in their twenties and young women.

It will also add a range of new features to its customer website.

"There are a lot of wine drinkers in the UK who are yet to experience Laithwaites, and having Nexus on board will help Laithwaites be exposed to new sections of the market," said Laithwaites's head of events, John Kemp.

As well as having an online presence, Laithwaites sells wines from around the world in ten UK stores.
