SICHEL SPONSORS OFFICIAL WORLD CUP WINE

Maison Sichel has announced that it is to sponsor one of the official red wines at the football World Cup, next month. The Bordeaux-based producer and shipper will supply a blended AOC Mdoc through its agent, the Doosan Corporation, to all stadia, official receptions, restaurants and hotels in South Korea during the competition. With an estimated 200,000 VIPs and football fans attending, Sichel is expecting a 35% increase in sales to South Korea, where alcohol consumption has risen by 20% since 1998.
