Richard Kelley MW has resigned from Vinimark, South Africa's largest independent wine distributor, and is returning to the UK to join Richards Walford & Co this month. Kelley, who qualified as a Master of Wine in 1995, will be directing sales, as well as taking on buying responsibilities for Richards Walford's Loire portfolio and developing the company's South African business. It currently imports Webersburg, Welgemeend and the wines of Tom Lubbe and Eden Sadie (ex-Spice Route). Richards Walford, one of Britain's major fine wine importers, wants to increase its range of New World wines. The company represents many of Bordeaux' leading estates, including Le Pin (Pomerol) and second growth Chteau Gruaud-Larose (St-Julien). Other leading French producers represented include Domaine Huet (Vouvray), Franois Cotat (Chavignol) and Clos des Papes (Chteauneuf-du-Pape). Richards Walford also has Italian, Spanish and Austrian principals.
