Prats and Symington LDA have announced the release of their new red table wine from the Douro . Chryseia is the result of a joint-venture between Bruno Prats and the Symington family. After experimentation in 1999 to find the most suitable grape varieties, the 2000 vintage, the first release, is made primarily from Touriga Nacional and Touriga Francesca, with a touch of Tinta Roriz and Tinta Co. The 35,000 bottles of 2000 Chryseia are to be offered through the Bordeaux market, to ensure the widest possible distribution worldwide'. This is only the second time a non-French wine has been offered by the Bordeaux ngociants. Contact Henry Shotton on: 00 351 223 776 3000; e-mail: hjs@symington.com
