Bodegas Callia has secured 350 hectares of vineyard territory in the Valle de Pedernal, San Juan in Argentina.
The company, which is part of the Salentein Family of Wines, said its investment will continue to drive its primary goal of high quality Shiraz production in the San Juan region.
Lying at 1,340 metres above sea level, the plot is located in a valley 200 kilometres north of Mendoza.
Lewis Jones, UK agent for Bodegas Callia at D&D Wines, said: "The land acquired will be mainly devoted to growing high quality noble varieties like Malbec and Shiraz.
"By extending Callia's presence in the area it gives greater opportunities to extend the range available in the UK. "
The purchase adds to Bodegas Callia's current portfolio of 241 hectares of vineyards in Valle de Tulum, San Juan.
