Exports of French wine and spirits remained strong in the ten months to the end of October 2007, new figures show.
Data from the French customs authority reported sales of sparkling wine brands through this period were up by 11.5% in volume and 13.7% in value.
Exports of Cognac saw growth also, with volume up by 8% while the value of goods increased by 15%.
Burgundy fared well in the export market with a 24% increase seen in both volume and value of goods.
Languedoc Rousillion was one of the few exports to register decreases with volume down 7.5% and values down 3.3%.
