Chile appoints new director

There will be a new man at the top for generic promotional body Wines of Chile from next month.
Juan Somava will take over from current manager Ricardo Letelier in February. At the same time the Board of Vinos de Chile has formed an international council to develop Wines of Chile's generic activity.
Somavia leaves his position as manager of Chile's country image programme and was formerly trade commissioner for Chile in New York.
Michael Cox, Wines of Chile's UK Director said: "I look forward hugely to working closely with someone of Mr Somava's impressive credentials.
"This is another very positive move for the on-going progress of Chile's dynamic wine trade."
