NVV appoints new president

Published:  23 July, 2008

Pat Stotesbery has been appointed as the new president for the Napa Valley Vintners (NVV).

The Ladera Vineyards owner will take over from predecessor Peter McCrea in overseeing more than 300 member wineries in the region.

His work in the role will include "leading the charge against industry-threatening rules being considered by the Department of Treasury's Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau, as well as ongoing Napa name protection work," an NVV statement read.

In 2008 NVV will launch its Napa Green Certified Winery program following a successful pilot earlier this year.

The 2008 board of directors for NVV includes Stephen Corley from Monticello Vineyards as vice president and Rick Jones from Jones Family Vineyards as chief financial officer.
