Online retailer Ocado, which provides a home shopping service for Waitrose goods, has posted a 43.1million loss for the year to December 3 2006, a 2.4m improvement on the year before, Companies House figures show.
Sales were up 53% to 230m. It made an operating loss of 37.5m, down from a loss of 38m last year.
Ocado co-founder and chief financial officer Jason Gissing said he hopes the company will move into profit for the first time soon.
