Three Oceans Wine Company to target North America

Western Australia producer Palandri has teamed up with South Africa-based The Company of Wine People to set up a joint wine importing and marketing venture in North America.

Three Oceans Wine Company (TOWC) will be based in Houston, Texas, and will focus on premium and top-end wines from the two companies' home countries.

TOWC will import three brands from WA (Palandri, Boundary Road, and Vita Novus), and a trio from South Africa (Arniston Bay, Thandi, and Kumkani).

Palandri CEO Gordon Grant said: "Combined, we make great efficiencies for our brands and our marketing and distribution partners.

"Three Oceans Wine Company is very customer focused and trade channel driven. We keep a constant eye on consumer needs, and that is reflected in everything we do."

Hermann Bhmer, CEO of The Company of Wine People, who claimed that the two parties are "ideal partners", added: "This joint venture captures the best of two of the world's up-and-coming wine regions.

"Our appellations, market focus and business model make this a unique wine marketing enterprise in North America."
