New advisor for WSTA

The Wine & Spirit Trade Association has appointed Jo McDonald as its Policy Advisor.

MacDonald will take responsibility for all WSTA spirits work and the management of the Imported Spirits Committee. She will also work on standards having previously developed the BRC's wide range of food and packaging standards.

MacDonald leaves the the British Retail Consortium to take up the position.

Previous roles included technical manager at Safeway plc and technical controller at Thresher Group. Jo is well known to the WSTA having first joined the Technical Committee whilst at Safeway nine years ago.

Jeremy Beadles, WSTA Chief Executive, said: "I am delighted to have someone with Jo's knowledge and experience on board. Having worked with her at the BRC I know the level of commitment and determination she will bring to the role and I very much look forward to working with her again."
