Burn Stewart Distillers, maker of Scottish Leader, Black Bottle and Bunnahabhain whiskies, has ditched its London-based distributor Paragon Vintners and brought its sales back home to Scotland.
Following a complete restructuring of the business, the company is now taking direct control of all UK sales and marketing from its East Kilbride base, with several members of Paragon Vinters coming on board.
Andy Calder is regional sales director; Chris O'Rourke is national account manager for the wholesale cash-and-carry sector and leads an on-trade team; and David Borthwick has rejoined the company as national account manager for the off-trade.
"By bringing the sales function back to Scotland, we have ensured a continued focus on our core Scotch portfolio," says Calder.
