Beefeater plans charity cycle ride

Published:  23 July, 2008

Drinks trade charity The Benevolent is set to benefit from the first London-to-Brighton fundraising cycle ride organised by Beefeater Gin on June 18.

Riders will leave the Beefeater Distillery on South London's Kennington Lane from 10am, with breakfast served at the venue from 9am. Riders will mostly travel on minor roads to the seaside town, and a mobile mechanic is to be provided en route.

Transport back to the distillery from seven in the evening, and contestants will be given a cycling shirt. The cost of registration is 20, and contestants have been asked to provide sponsorship cheques before they set off, ideally with a minimum of 100 raised per rider.
