Champagne market continues to bubble

Champagne house Laurent Perrier has announced 13 % rise in sales in 2006 to 208 million euro.
Shipments increased 5.3% in the period 1 April 2006 to 31 March 2007 with Champagne exports growing by more than 8%. Exports now represent almost 65% of the group's sales with the US and UK market particularly strong.
Yves Dumont, chairman of Laurent Perrier's management board, said: the growth in sales demonstrates how efficiently we have implemented our strategy for almost ten years.'
Laurent Perrier will release its full results for the year on 1 June 2007.
