The timetable for judging entries in the International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC) is to be changed after a number of requests from New World producers.
Frances Horder, who is competition director, said:
We have established a new judging schedule with wine producers in line with their vintage schedules.
For example, it is much better for New World producers to submit their wines to be tasted in early summer rather than by close of March, which is traditionally the deadline across all UK competitions.
Horder added that the annual banquet for the presentation
of the IWSC awards will continue to be hosted at the beginning of November.
