Joe Wadsack, the voluble broadcaster and larger-than-life bon viveur, has teamed up with English crystal glass maker, Dartington, to promote its Winemaster range of stemware.
The former Waitrose wine buyer was in sparkling form' last Thursday showing off the attributes of the various glasses.
He told Harpers: You buy an expensive Champagne and then knacker it by using a cheap glass from habitat or Ikea. You want a well-balanced, limpid glass with a nice weight - glasses are the stereo of the wine business - and great music requires a good system to hear it.'
