Philip Bowman has been appointed as a non-executive director of London wine merchants Berry Bros & Rudd.
The former Allied Domecq chief executive will maintain the position in tandem with heading up ScottishPower, and a non-executive position with Scottish & Newcastle, Britain's largest brewer.

Bowman insists that he has not been brought in to sell the company off: It is highly profitable and will remain a family business,' he said.
