Argentinian wine importer Vinos Wines is launching its first three brands in time for the Wines of Argentina tasting.
All three ranges - Viniterra, Omnium and Terra - are aimed at the UK off-trade. At the top of the tree is Viniterra, which comprises a Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Malbec, Merlot, Carmenre and a Pinot Grigio, all expected to retail for 6.89 in the UK.
The Terra range includes Malbec, Merlot, Cabernet, Viognier and Chardonnay, with a retail price of 5.40.
The Omnium range is the entry-level range, offering a Tempranillo, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Merlot and Chardonnay, priced at 4.79.
Although no listings have yet been confirmed, the wines will be launched at the Wines of Argentina tasting.
All the wines are sourced from the Viniterra winery, launched in 1999 by agro-industrialist Adriano Senetiner (one of the founders of the Nieto & Senetiner winery in Mendoza).
A Vinos spokeswoman said that the launch will initially be supported by the trade and consumer press and a nationwide consumer sampling activity is in place for autumn and winter this year'.
She added that a television advertising campaign will follow on ITV1, ITV2 and Sky channels next year'.
