Amathus signs exclusive distribution deal for De Gras

Amathus Drinks has signed a deal as the exclusive distributor of Chilean wine brand De Gras, previously distributed by Enotria.

The De Gras range, which comprises a broad range of varietals from vineyards in the heart of Colchagua Valley alongside a selection of aromatic styles from the coastal Leyda district, varies between pure, fruit driven highly expressive single-varietal wines to a selection of “world-class” red blends.

Offering “exceptional value and quality” at all levels along with a” strong brand identity”, De Gras was a perfect fit for Amathus’ portfolio, said head of wine Jeremy Lithgow MW.

“We felt this iconic family-owned estate matched our own profile and ambitions for growth”, he said, adding Amathus was looking forward to continuing to add wineries "of this stature" to its range over the coming year.

The first shipment consists of a comprehensive range of wines from the estate single varietals through to the single vineyard Ninquén. This coincides with a repackaging of the range aimed at adding a premium twist to the look and feel of the wines.

Since their arrival in Chile over a century ago from their native Barcelona, the Gras family has been working towards producing world-class wines from Chile’s best terroirs.

They have been growing vines since 1940, and today their winemaking and viticulture are certified sustainable.
