Having already made it to the front of the admittedly meagre field of wine television programmes, the daytime TV husband-and-wife team that hosts the eponymous Richard & Judy show is to venture into the world of wine publishing with a new guide book, the Richard & Judy Wine Guide.
Based on the six-week strand that featured on the couple's Channel 4 show earlier this year, the guide will be published by HarperCollins in November. It will be produced in collaboration with both Cactus TV, the production company behind the Richard & Judy show, and the wine experts, led by Susy Atkins, who appeared on the show.
HarperCollins is hoping to build on the success of the TV club - which attracted more than 100,000 members and generated enormous sales of the featured wines - by producing the first really accessible book about wine'.
