Burge moves to Hatch

UK distributor Hatch Mansfield has taken on its first new producer in seven years, Barossa premium winemaker Grant Burge.
Grant Burge Wines will join a portfolio of family-controlled brands and sit alongside names such as Louis Jadot from Burgundy, Errzuriz from Chile, Villa Maria from New Zealand and Champagne Taittinger, among others.
Patrick McGrath MW, managing director of Hatch Mansfield, said: The obvious gaps [in our portfolio] were Australia and South Africa, and we have been looking for a top-quality producer from these areas for some time. Grant Burge is recognised as a top Australian producer.'
Grant Burge wines were formerly distributed in the UK by Stevens Garnier.
