THIEVES' 75,000 CHAMPAGNE HAUL

Published:  23 July, 2008

Over 500 cases of Laurent-Perrier Champagne worth 75,000 were stolen from a lorry last week. The 521 cases, each of which comprises three twin-pack gift boxes featuring a Tulip design, contain the company's NV Brut Champagne. David Hesketh MW, MD of Laurent-Perrier UK, said the theft happened on the evening of Monday 29 November, but that details are unclear. He added that the stolen gift boxes are only sold in travel retail, so that if anyone if offered one, they should contact either the Laurent-Perrier offices on 01628 475404, or the crimedesk at Grays Police Station on 01375 391212.
