Loyd Grossman, TV personality and professional Bostonian, has launched his own wine range. Grossman, who already has a successful branded food business, including a range of pasta sauces, teamed up with Australian vineyard owner Phil Norrie and Norrie's European business partner Tony Proctor. The full line-up of the range, which will retail at 5.99, has not yet been finalised, but at the moment includes a Chardonnay/Colombard, a Semillon/Sauvignon Blanc, a Dry Riesling, a Cabernet/Shiraz, a straight Shiraz and a Cabernet Sauvignon. It is hoped that the wines will be stocked in the major multiples. Norrie said: Loyd has been completely uncompromising and absolutely meticulous when working with us to choose what he wants and what he knows his customers will appreciate. These are all excellent, contemporary wines from the best-quality Australian wine regions.' All of the wines will be bottled under screwcap.
