Spain's 27 top single estate wineries, collected under the Grandes Pagos de España banner, have launched a campaign to put their wines on the map internationally.

The campaign will comprise tastings and tours around the world, and activities in key markets including the UK, Switzerland, the USA, Japan, China, and at home.
Carlos Falcó, of Marqués de Griñón in Toledo and president of the Grandes Pagos de España, said, "We have been carrying out tastings and events in various markets in recent years but this the first time that we have pulled our resources together to concentrate on putting the wines of our member's bodegas on the map internationally.
"Our main objective is to promote the excellence and diversity of Spanish winemaking at a global level. We are lucky enough to count on Spain's finest single estate wineries within our association and we are determined to spread the word about the wonderful quality that we can produce."
Events include Grandes Pagos de España tastings in Switzerland, in Zurich, Basel and Bern, from the May 12 -15, a tour of Washington, New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco from November 5 - 11 and a London Showcase Tasting in the autumn.
The Grandes Pagos de España is a collection of 27 wineries from 15 Denominations of Origin across Spain. They include the Chivite family's Senorio de Arinzano in Navarra, as well J Chivite Family estates, Numanthia in Zamora and Mas Doix in Tarragona.
