The Dionysos Greek Wine Festival is to take place 20-27 September in Weymouth, Dorset. The consumer festival will emphasise mid-market Greek wines and will have representatives on hand from more than 23 independent estates and from spirit brands Metaxa and Ouzo 12. The festival is the brainchild of the proprietor of the Acropolis Hotel and Ta Dyo Aldelphia, a Greek taverna in the Dorset town. Admission to the eight-day event will be 10 per person for all eight days, and tickets for the Gala Greek Evening on the final day will be 25 per person. All proceeds will be donated to a local charity. More information can be found at: www.greekwinefestival.co.uk
