WILLIAMS IS NEW DEPUTY EDITOR OF HARPERS

Harpers is pleased to announce that David Williams has been appointed deputy editor. The move follows the departure of editorial director Tim Atkin MW, and the elevation of former deputy editor, Christian Davis, to editor. Williams joined Harpers in November 1999 after an initial period of work experience with the magazine. He has worked as staff writer and features writer. As part of the restructuring at Harpers, news reporter Jack Hibberd has been promoted to the position of news editor. Neil Beckett continues as senior features writer.
