Calls for bartenders to enter Glenfiddich Malt Mastermind

Single malt whisky brand Glenfiddich is calling for the on-trade's most passionate malt enthusiasts to enter its annual competition, the Glenfiddich Malt Mastermind.

Single malt whisky brand Glenfiddich is calling for the on-trade's most passionate malt enthusiasts to enter its annual competition, the Glenfiddich Malt Mastermind.

 

The competition, which is now in its third year, is expected to draw a crowd of entries from highly knowledgeable bartenders across the trade.

 

 

The title of Malt Mastermind 2012, a trophy and £1,000 will be awarded as first prize, alongside a VIP trip to the Glenfiddich distillery, where the winner will be given the chance to taste a range of rare Glenfiddich expressions.

 

 

Last year's competition attracted bartenders from the Gleneagles Hotel, the Library Bar at the Lanesborough, Worship Street Whistling Shop and Gordon's Bar at Selfridges.

 

 

Jamie Milne, brand ambassador for Glenfiddich, said: "For the third year we are seeking industry figures who have a passion for malt whisky. We are looking for someone who embodies the pioneering spirit of Glenfiddich through their innovation and creativity and who truly understands the complexities of malt whisky."
