Bottle Green to distribute Barton & Guestier

Published:  28 September, 2011

Bottle Green is the new UK distribution partner for French wine label Barton & Guestier.

Barton & Guestier, present in 130 countries, has signed a distribution agreement with Bottle Green, with immediate effect.

Barton & Guestier work in partnership with around 250 winegrowers in France and all the wines are selected and monitored by Laurent Prada, head winemaker, and his team.

Prada said: "The strong relationship with our partners helps us to create wines that appeal to the international palate, yet still offer the 'cachet' and the typical character of French wines. Being involved from start to finish, from the vinegrowing to the bottling, allows us to adapt our winemaking and to propose only the best to our consumers."

The selection of wines includes the premium mainstream Gold Label range, premium Bordeaux range Thomas Barton Reserve, Châteaux wines and Reserve Varietal range, as well as organic and sparkling wines. The B&G Reserve Chardonnay 2010 won the Best Chardonnay Trophy in this year's Top 100 IGP competition.

Adam Marshall, Bottle Green's commercial director, said: "Barton & Guestier's brand image is one of historical significance, authenticity and solidity and we look forward to working with the team in France to achieve wide distribution in the off- and on-trades here in the UK."
