New Zealand pulls out of Vinexpo

Published:  23 July, 2008

There will be no generic presence from New Zealand at this year's Vinexpo fair in France - for the second time in three events.

Warren Adamson, director UK and Europe of New Zealand Winegrowers, told Harpers that the generic body was looking to focus its attention instead on the London International Wine & Spirit Fair and Prowein.

He said: We're not the largest of generics, and Vinexpo isn't the cheapest of fairs, and we've taken a decision based on this. But it doesn't mean we won't be there in 2009.'

There was no generic presence for New Zealand at the previous Vinexpo event in 2005.
