Wines Unearthed expands to Hong Kong with Vinexpo

Wines Unearthed, known to the industry through the London Wine Fair, is expanding to Asia.

Plans are underway for the ‘fair within a fair’, which is aims at helping producers to break into new markets and find distribution, has found a new platform with Vinexpo Hong Kong.

“We have been all over Europe, to South America and to Asia in the last 12 months, scouring the globe for the most prestigious fairs and analysing the potential of wine markets around the world”, co-organiser Judy Kendrick said.

“Asia seems to be top of the list for many producers at this moment in time, and we believe Vinexpo Hong Kong offers a great platform for producers looking for distribution. Vinexpo are working with us to fully integrate Wines Unearthed into their fair”.

The new partnership will launch at with Vinexpo Hong Kong’s May 2018 event, where wines and also spirits will be able to exhibit under the Wines Unearthed banner.

Wines Unearthed has completed three years with the LWF where it showed 100 producers from 19 countries in 2017.

It is a standalone brand, which also has a focus on educating and preparing producers for the markets in which they want to sell.

“If producers are prepared, buyers will see they are serious about the market and are ready to work,” co-organiser Ana Sofia de Oliveira said.

“Before every fair, exhibitors receive a comprehensive ‘Road Map to Export’ document that gives them all the practical advice they need about selling to the country where the event takes place.”

Wines Unearthed is preparing for its fourth year at the London Wine Fair (21-23 May 2018) and is now expanding to Asia inside Vinexpo Hong Kong (29-31 May 2018).
