Taittinger 2002 is a 'cosmic pearl'

Senegalese artist Amadou Sow is the latest artist and first African artist to be specially commissioned by Taittinger to create a limited edition vintage bottle.

The collectible Champagne bottles are designed by world famous artists and have previously included: Hungarian artist Victor Vasarely with the Brut 1978, American Roy Lichtenstein, Brut 1985, and Chinese artist Zao Wou-Ki with Brut 1998.

Sow's 2002 vintage bottle, called "Cosmic Pearls" (rrp £175) is the 12th in this ongoing series and depicts an African evening with its vibrant colours on a black backdrop reflecting the star- studded sky, the universe and beyond. The new bottle will be available from late March.
