ZGM, the international wine producer, is launching a new Chilean range into the UK market this month in response to increasing consumer and customer demand.
The Via Zamporia range, sourced from the Coquimbo region, the most northerly wine growing area of Chile, includes three varietals: Sauvignon Blanc, Carmenre and Shiraz. The range is the latest in a series of international launches from ZGM this year, as part of the company's 4.8 million investment to drive value into the UK market.
Managing Director of ZGM UK, Steve Howard, says: "Chilean wine is growing in both volume and value in the UK and Via Zamporia is a range of high quality wines designed to fulfil this demand.
"The hot days and cool nights in the Coquimbo region provide the perfect conditions for developing good sugar, tannin and aroma in the grapes. The wines are then bottled in our state-of-the-art facilities in Germany, which preserve their distinctive characteristics.
Via Zamporia Sauvignon Blanc offers crisp gooseberry flavours and is perfect enjoyed alfresco during the summer while the Carmenre offers hints of juicy black fruit and spices which complement rich flavoured meats or chilli dishes. The soft, elegant Shiraz, with flavours of black olives and herbs, is ideal with tapenades or roast duck.
ZGM has also recently launched Palatium, a new German Pinot Blanc and will be extending its portfolio throughout the year with further launches from across the globe including France, Spain and California.
