Chileno's instant win

This summer, Chilean wine brand Chileno is offering consumers the chance to win a fortnight for two on the Caribbean island of Grenada.

Rolling out across the UK market, the limited-release bottles of the Chilean brand will sport specially produced competition collarettes, and winners will find their Instant Win message marked on the cork.

The top prize will include half-board accommodation, flights and transfers, and 100 runners-up will receive a case of Chileno wines. Brand manager Claire Summersby commented, This is a great chance for consumers to get a bit of "C", sun and sand with Chileno, which really sums up the brand's ethos - fun, funky and definitely hot!'

Since its launch in 2002, Chileno has become the UK's fastest-growing Chilean brand, with sales in 2004 up six-fold on 2003's levels, and it has already entered the Top 10 Chilean brands in multiple grocers.

This year, two new range extensions - the 3-litre bag-in-box duo (Shiraz/Cabernet and Oaked Chardonnay/Semillon) and 2004 Merlot Ros - have been launched in the UK.

A third premium tier of five varietal wines, Chileno Gold, is due for imminent release.

Chileno is a joint venture between PLB and Via Ventisquero. Winemaking is overseen by Felipe Tosso, and the company has vineyards in the main Chilean wine-producing areas.
