Global enters canned cocktails arena by setting off Flare

Global Brands is aiming to make the spirit of cocktail flairing available to everyone with a range of premix drinks.

The Flare Cocktails range of 25cl ready-to-serve (RTS) cans, is designed to offer a "credible cocktail experience for the independent retail channel".

The range will include Mojito, Cosmopolitan and On the Beach, each price-marked at £1.

Nielsen figures put the market for ready-to-serve cans at £16.1 million and in growth of 10% in impulse retailers said Global.

Marketing director Simon Green added: "We have identified a clear opportunity for the independent channel, where value and convenience need to be at the heart of every retailer's offer.

"Flare Cocktails represents an exciting opportunity for retailers to stock and sell an exclusive on-trend product, which will allow them to compete effectively against the supermarkets."
