Enotria has been appointed UK agent for Lebanese winery Ixsir.
Based in Batroun in Northern Lebanon, it is run by an international partnership whose members include: Carlos Ghosn, chief executive of Renault-Nissan and Hubert de Boüard of Chateau Angelus.
The wines are created by Hubert de Boüard and Gabriel Rivero - formerly chief winemaker at Sociando Mallet in Bordeaux.
Fruit is sourced from top vineyards including Batroun in the north, Jezzine in the south, and the hillsides of the Bekaa Valley in the east.
Enotria will be offering the Altitudes white and red and the Grande Reserve white and red.
The white wines are based on Viognier, Muscat, Chardonnay and Semillon, and reds are produced from Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Caladoc, and Tempranillo.
Enotria buyer Edgar Bettridge says:"It is very exciting to be working with Ixsir, which is at the cutting edge of Lebanese wine making.
"With thousands of years of local winemaking history behind them, the team here is producing truly modern greats."
The Ixsir wines will be presented by Nagi Saikali at Enotria's Annual Tasting 2012 in London February 27, and Edinburgh February 29.
