The regional director of Wine Australia UK, Ireland and the EU, Lisa McGovern has resigned.
Paul Henry, general manager, market development, said the Australian Wine & Brandy Corporation (AWBC) has implemented internal changes to support the UK office and the market in McGovern's absence to ensure transition can occur with minimal impact on the team, strategy, stakeholder interests and market activity.
McGovern had been with Wine Australia since April, 2009.
She previously held a number of jobs in the wine trade, including marketing and business development roles for Graham Beck Wines, Southcorp Wines and the Wine Institute of New Zealand.
Henry added: "Lisa worked tirelessly to promote and support the Australian wine industry in the UK and Europe and the AWBC wishes her all the best in the future."
John McDonnell, regional manager Ireland, will be available to support the UK office for two days a week in London until a permanent replacement is found.
