Advert aimed at women drinkers
The Italian Fontana Candida wine brand is courting women in the US with a "Sex in the City" approach. Mimi Zinniel, consumer research director for the Brown-Forman Beverages Worldwide Wine Group, said: "Fontana Candida is a stylish brand at a good value." Brown-Forman research shows that in the US, women account for more than half of all wine drinkers and total volume. Women under 35 are more likely to buy wine and pay more for higher quality than other age groups.
