Les Vignobles Foncalieu brings Languedoc collection to the UK

Published:  03 May, 2017

Les Vignobles Foncalieu is launching Languedoc wine collection Ensedune in the UK.

The six-strong cuvées portfolio, described as “the essence” of Languedoc, comprises Marsanne, Muscat Sec, Cabernet Franc Rosé, Marselan, Malbec and and Petit Verdot – all produced from exogenous grape varieties planted in the soils around IGP Coteaux d’Ensérune to form an original range “breaking new ground” in the Languedoc.

It is made with non-native vines that been planted over the past 40 years, which had been carefully nurtured through a combination of science and expertise by a group of winemakers who had joined forces to combine their “generations of expertise” to produce the new range, said Les Vignobles Foncalieu.

In a bid to reflect how the winemaker was “always at the heart” of all Les Vignobles Foncalieu projects, each bottle has been signed by one of the winemaking team, said the co-operative.

Les Vignobles Foncalieu is debuting Ensedune at the London Wine Fair (LWF) , which takes place towards the end of this month, where it will also showcase the new 2016 vintages of Le Versant, alongside an “elegant and modern” label for the brand.
