The 2014 Digital Wine Communications Conference is to be held in Montreux, Switzerland.
Following last weekend's sixth DWCC event held in Logrono, Rioja, its organisers have announced the 2014 event will give the wine communications sector the chance to discover more about Swiss wine as well as explore the latest thinking around digital communications and social media.
The event will again be organised by digital and social media specialists, Vrazon in partnership with Catavino.net. It will be held at the 2m2c Montreux Music and Convention Centre between October 31 and November 2, 2014 and will be sponsored by Swiss Wine Promotion, the body responsible for championing Switzerland's national wine production.
Gabriella Opaz, one of the DWCC's co-founders, said: "Switzerland is a multitude of regions, grapes and wines, and we're thrilled to be heading there to discuss and debate excellence in online wine communications. Sandwiched between France, Italy, Germany and Austria, Switzerland has 26 cantons, four linguistic areas, a plethora of cultural influences, six wine-producing areas and some 40 indigenous grapes: it's a real melting pot. So we want to encourage wine communicators to celebrate their origins and develop their own unique voices, while recognising the support and value that can be found within the international wine community."
More information about the DWCC 2014 event will be announced on its website www.dwcc.co. The 2013 conference was attended by 300 wine communicators and wine trade professionals from 35 countries.
