Canti releases new packaging designs

Italian wine producer, Canti, has released new packaging for its sparkling wines, Prosecco and Asti.

Italian wine producer, Canti, has released new packaging for its sparkling wines, Prosecco and Asti.

The new bottle design features a slightly taller and heavier bottle. Though Canti Asti retains its dark-coloured glass bottle, Canti Prosecco now features dark green glass bottles destined exclusively to the UK market and clear glass bottles for all other export markets.

The new textured labels still feature the brand's signature colours of black and gold as well as the rose symbol, but now place greater emphasis on the vintage.

"This is probably one of the first packaging styles like this with the vintage printed on the label," said Chris Eales, UK representative for Canti brand owner, Fratelli Martini Secondo Luigi SPA. "Prosecco has always been made as a vintage and people look for freshness."

Since its debut in the UK market in 2002, Canti has sought to maintain an image of Italian fashion and design and this new packaging intends to further distinguish the brand's signature look.

Whilst Canti Prosecco remains its signature sparkling wine in the UK, Canti Asti is growing incrementally and the company hopes the new design will further differentiate itself from the leading Asti brand, Martini, on supermarket shelves.
