Following a strategic review of the business, London-based Armit Wines has announced the addition of four estates to its portfolio.

The four estates are Tahbilk in Victoria, Australia; Valli in Central Otago, New Zealand; TintoNegro in Mendoza, Argentina; and Château Maris in the Languedoc, France. Wines from all four estates were previewed at the Armit Spring Tasting last week.

Mike Laing, managing director of Armit Wines, said: "We are thrilled to be adding four best-in-class estates to the Armit Wines portfolio. As part of a strategic review, we have spent considerable time identifying those areas of the world where we felt we could improve and complement our existing portfolio, and the south of France and the southern hemisphere were high on our list.

"With these important additions of leading producers in four key regions, we can now offer an even better choice that is of wider relevance to the UK trade, as well as to our own private clients."

Tahbilk is known for its Marsanne and old vine Shiraz and its wines will be available through Armit from May 1; while offerings from boutique winery Valli will be available from mid-May. TintoNegro's range of high-altitude Malbecs are new to the UK and will be available from late June; while the wines of Minervois producer Château Maris are available now.
