Rioja producer Bodegas Beronia has released its first white wine from outside the region.
The 100% Verdejo Beronia Rueda has been made in Spain's Rueda DO by the Gonzalez Byass-owned producer.
The 2014 wine is a collaboration between Beatriz Paniagua - the Gonzalez Byass winemaker who was born in the Rueda region - and Beronia winemaker Matias Calleja.
It has been produced from grapes from an early harvest - with fermentation at high temperatures to achieve ripe fruit character - and some from a later harvest, fermented at lower temperatures for maturity and complexity.
The wine is being listed by Ocado with an rrp of £8.99.
